Gene Benton, CHFM, CHSP, CHCM, Principal
As a well-educated, seasoned, and decisive leader, Gene has an extensive background in Financial Management, Facilities Management, Commercial Facility Construction, Residential Construction & Renovations, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), AHJ Regulatory Compliance, Contract Negotiations, New Company Startups, and Workplace Safety. His degree in Occupational Health & Safety from Slippery Rock University was the start of Gene carrying the following licenses and certifications:
Maryland Home Improvement License
Calvert County Home Building License
EPA Accredited Certification in Lead Paint Identification & Handling
EPA Accredited Certification in Erosion Control Management
Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager (CHFM)
Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP)
Certified Hazard Control Manager (CHCM)
Gene’s passion for success comes from his ability to manage operations successfully, develop a strong team of individuals, and build partnerships that last for the long term. His dedication to this community has shown through his involvement with Southern Maryland Lacrosse, St. Paul’s United Methodist Youth Group, Karsyn’s Karnival, and other events for Patuxent High School.
Dawn Benton, Principal
As a co-principal with her husband, Gene, Dawn is dedicated to advancing the mission of Encompass. She is currently working as a respected member of the Patuxent High School Support Staff (School Nurse) where she cares for the students and staff on a daily basis. Dawn has an extensive background in the following areas:
Staff Management & Development
Staff Communication
Aid in Student Care & Curriculum Planning
Educating & Advancing Nursing Staff
She also dedicates her time to serving in her community through involvement in youth programs such as Karsyn’s Karnival & Patuxent High School (Class Sponsor). Dawn and her family have become well respected and active members of the community.
